The Great Outdoors ... With or Without Snow

Finland is known for its beautiful nature and its huge areas of untouched land. Half of Finland is just nature, and the Finns are happy leaving it that way, because they love hiking. In the summer and even in the winter, people go hiking in the great outdoors. There are plenty of different trails and so many areas to discover, people are always finding something to do. Whether they are berry and mushroom picking or just stretching their legs, the Finns always find an excuse to go for a hike.

Nice Trails

The trails in the major parks are always well maintained. People take good care in putting down boards and stairs where needed and keeping the paths clear for the trails. This makes hiking safe and enjoyable for people of all different abilities.

Clean Land

Finns take good care in keeping the area clean. Never have I seen any form of pollution when hiking because Finns actually value their nature. They go there for the peacefulness and want to keep it that way. Therefore, they always keep things clean.

One With Nature

Hiking in Finland is so nice because you feel like you are one with nature. The trails never feel too crowded because there are so many that you rarely encounter people. But when you do, people leave you be and to enjoy your day out of the city. Hiking quickly became one of my favorite pastimes because of these reasons.
